With several world championship medals, EWS series wins and Olympic gold medals, the SRAM XX Eagle crank with DUB™ standard has more than proven its potential. The model for the innovative Eagle Transmission drivetrain represents the next evolutionary stage in the pursuit of victories.
Thanks to the ultra-strong and at the same time incredibly light hollow core construction of the carbon fiber arms, the XX SL model represents SRAM’s lightest crank to date. In combination with the independent double-spoke design of the T-Type chainring, the crankset for 1×12-speed drivetrain systems not only attracts attention, but is also characterized by long-lasting durability.
Features of the SRAM XX Eagle SL crankset
- T-Type compatible (suitable for Eagle Transmission drivetrain systems)
- ultra-light carbon fiber crank arm construction with hollow core
- Direct Mount chainring with independent double spoke design
- DUB™ bottom bracket technology for increased stiffness and durability
- possibility for Powermeter upgrade
The T-Type components are only compatible with SRAM Eagle Transmission drivetrain systems. However, the T-Type chainrings are also suitable for previous Eagle 12-speed chains and can be used accordingly with the associated drives. But conventional Eagle chainrings are not compatible with Eagle Transmission chains.
The unit of bottom bracket and oversize crank shaft (⌀ 28.99 mm) is at the heart of the DUB™ (Durable Unified Bottom Bracket) technology, which allows a symbiosis between stiffness and durability. The system approach created by integrating the chainring, crank, spindle and bottom bracket not only improves durability thanks to an optimized seal, but also raises the performance of the drivetrain to a new level.
