The HXC 1501 SPLINE ONE wheels were developed for all riders who want to tickle out the ultimate performance out of their E-MTB. Equipped with carbon rims that are specially adapted to the increased requirements of E-Bikes, the high-end wheels advance to the top model in the Hybrid range of DT Swiss.
The hub shell of the DT Swiss 240 hubs has also been redesigned to provide better resistance to the higher drive forces and braking torques that modern E-MTB’s achieve. At the rear wheel, the Ratchet EXP OS freewheel system which is introduced with this model, provides for a direct transmission of the torque generated by the motor and rider to the ground. The fact that no power is lost in the process, but conversely even the acceleration is improved, is the merit of the reinforced Hybrid 2 spokes.
Each component has been carefully designed, produced and tested to guarantee a stress-free ride as well as maximum driving pleasure, regardless of the rider’s level.

The Hybrid wheels of the HXC 1501 SPLINE ONE (Straight Pull Line) series benefit from targeted testing procedures and many years of experience in the development of E-MTB components. Thanks to manual work, not only a precise manufacturing quality is achieved, but also the well-known, brand-typical reliability is ensured.
The special feature of the patented freewheel system is that all teeth of the two installed ratchet pulleys always mesh simultaneously. Compared to pawl freewheel hubs, where the engagement surface is comparatively small, the loads are distributed evenly over a large contact surface by including the entire face surfaces. The result is lower point loading and thus significantly higher reliability.
The DT Pro Lock spoke nipples prevent an independent loosening of the spoke-nipple connection. A patented two-component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread, which allows the construction of extremely durable wheels. Once the nipples are screwed in, the adhesive is activated and then fully cures. Repeated re-centering is possible without any problems, although the adhesive strength decreases slightly with each re-centering.

* Hookless rims are specifically designed for use with Tubeless tires. It is also possible to ride a Tubeless-specific tire with a tube. However, the use of clincher or folding tires is not recommended.
